Description | : | A large crowd of onlookers at the nest site may have unnerved this adult Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis). It took some time before deciding which of its young to drop off dinner, flying several times from a church spire to the roof of a nearby building -- where all four young were anxiously awaiting food -- and circling the area. Finally, the squirrel was given to two of the young who were sitting close together at the opposite end of the building from their siblings.
