| Description | : | Red-tailed Hawks (Buteo jamaicensis) and other raptors often must feel like Tippi Hedren in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. They're constantly being harassed by smaller birds. Here, an adult Red-tail takes refuge from a pesky Common Grackle (Quiscalus quiscula) on top of a church spire.
