Description | : | We were rather surprised by the sudden appearance of a Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) in the Red-tailed Hawks' territory. It appeared at a time when the adults were circling the area with food for their young. Perhaps that is what caught the Peregrine's attention. However, it just made a very fast pass between the two buildings that the hawks have adopted, then streaked off as fast as it had appeared.
