| Description | : | It may be the largest woodpecker in North America, but the Pileated Woodpecker (Dryocopus pileatus) sure is tough to catch in flight. A couple of very fast srokes with the wings, then a crazy dip .... a couple of strokes and a dip ... well, you get the picture. We'll get you next time, Woody! Lovers Key State Park, Florida.
