| Description | : | An Australian Magpie (Gymnorhina tibicen leuconota) at a Southern Ontario aviary. It is also known as the White Backed Magpie, or Piping Shrike, and is the state bird of South Australia. It has also been called the Flute Bird, referring to its loud musical flute-like song.
