| Description | : | That does it! The Northern Saw-whet Owl (Aegolius acadicus) is now officially our favourite of the owl species. Who can resist this diminutive bird of prey? Standing about eight inches (20 cm) from top of the head to his tail, the Saw-whet is the smallest of the northern owl species. And not as likely to fly off as some of his larger cousins. Another reason to feel blessed when we are hiking out in Ontario's natural glory!
