Description | : | Another example of why the Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) is one of our favourite raptors to photograph. Such a beautiful wingspread on this very accommodating predator. We had just checked two Osprey nests for activity (there was none, the females appeared to be sitting on eggs) when we decided to take a different route to our next destination. There ahead of us was our third Osprey nest of the day! Getting out of the car, both adults left the nest and circled us, giving us some great photo ops -- all the while keeping an eye on us. After a few minutes, we packed up the cameras, not wanting to stress the birds, and thankful for the experience.
