| Description | : | A light-phase juvenile Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) tries his luck with a garter snake , but discretion apparently proved the better part of valor! After a bit of dancing around as the snake squirmed about, the hawk took shelter in a nearby tree -- without his snack.
