Description | : | One of the highlights of a three-day expedition to the Viera Wetlands, Florida, was this flight shot of the colorful Glossy Ibis (Plegadis falcinellus). The wetlands turned out to be exactly that -- wet. Because of heavy rains, the area was closed to vehicular traffic, forcing a trek through the area with all our gear. Despite the fact we had only about three hours of good light for our entire stay, we were extremely pleased with the results of the trip.
