| Description | : | The Annunciation Cathedral in the Kremlin's Cathedral Square. Heavily damaged by fire in 1547, Ivan the Terrible ordered the restoration of the private chapel. At the time, a porch was added just for Ivan. After marrying for the fourth time, he could no longer appear in church, so he had the porch built to give him access to a separate praying room from where he could see and hear services.
