| Description | : | A Red-Shouldered Hawk (Buteo lineatus) tears into a Gulf Salt Marsh Snake (Nerodia clarkii) at Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge. The hawk had many interested onlookers as it struggled with the snake for some time. The snake had wrapped itself around the hawk's leg -- and vegetation -- preventing the raptor from flying off.
