Named after Ena Baxter, wife of Gordon Baxter who, along with brother Ian, ran Baxter's after the Second World War. Gordon handed over managing directorship to daughter Audrey, who now runs the company with brother Andrew. Ena was a distinguished artist. Baxter's was founded in 1868 by George and Margaret Baxter.
