Description | : | A Tufted Titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor), a rare visitor to the Durham region, hung around long enough to give us a few frames, then grabbed a peanut in payment and vanished into the depth of early spring woods. Our friend Rayfield Pye, of Durham Region Field Naturalists, told us later there had been only a handful of sightings of the species in Durham in the past decade or so. We feel even luckier knowing that.
