Description | : | A trip back into the archives for this series of a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis). Colleagues had e-mailed a photo of a rare sight -- this hawk chowing down on a Ring-billed Gull (Larus delawarensis) right outside the Sun's building. Grabbed a spare camera and rushed out to find the Hawk sitting on a lamp post above the kill. Within moments, the Hawk launched back down to its feast. |
