Nice work Tania, I really wish it were mine though :) |
Description | : | A speeding Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) on the hunt for prey .... or a photographer. Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve, Florida.
*NOTE: Several months after Tania captured this outstanding image, Jim was invited to the banding of Peregrine Falcon chicks by the Canadian Peregrine Foundation. There were three male and one female in the clutch born to a pair nesting atop an 18-storey building near Yonge and King streeets in Toronto. In honor of this amazing image, Jim named the female chick "Estero," after the bay on which the photo was taken.
