| Description | : | Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) and juvenile. This chick looks like it has grown big enough to get its own food. Mama wants to force him to leave nest, but the juvenile still begs for food. We spotted him sitting alone most of the day. The adult came by only once to check up on him. Venice Rookery, Florida.
