Description | : | An Anhinga (Anhinga anhinga) appears in a poetic mood at Ding Darling, Florida. After much debate, we decided this was a juvenile male coming into adult plumage. Male Anhingas have dark necks, while females' necks are brown. Juveniles appear much the same as females and this guy seems to be losing what few light neck feathers he has left.
