| Description | : | This Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) was an unexpected bonus as we made our way to the Everglades in the early morning hours. The sun had just cleared the treetops when we spotted the eagle on a pole along the Tamiami Trail, snacking on the remains of what we believed to be a smaller bird of prey.
