Description | : | Now this was a real, and unexpected, treat! Arriving at one of our favourite locations for herons and egrets, we heard the unmistakeable hooting of a Great Horned Owl (Bubo virginianus). Search as we might, we could not locate it. The next day, as we were driving in to the same location, we scoured the tops of the pines some distance from the location. Lo and behold, a GHO winking down at us! |
