Description | : | The Red-Shouldered Hawk (Buteo lineatus) became one of our favourite birds during this trip. We first spotted one near our hotel and then were treated to several more sightings at Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge. This particular Hawk had staked out his territory near a bridge in the refuge. On this day, he posed in one tree for a few minutes, flew to another tree across the road for a while, then, still staying close to the road - and the cameras - perched in some shade.
