| Description | : | No, it's not the cast of another golf movie, but we are in the company of a great actor. After 18 holes of golf at our course, Northridge, we decided to play another nine holes with our friend, Michel (right). The starter asked if we would mind being joined by a fourth player named Len, who was looking for a game. We said OK and off we went. Something about the other player bugged me for four holes. He looked very familiar, but I could not figure out why. Then on the fifth tee, I asked Len for his last name. Cariou, he said. Dammit, I said, you're 'Michael Hagerty' from Murder, She Wrote. Len broke into a wide grin, probably knowing all along that we suspected who he was. Len is better known these days for his role as the patriarch on Blue Bloods. But for that afternoon, he was just plain Len. A pretty good golfer and great company. |
